I've always been a chronically busy person - a dictionary "workaholic", I'd load myself up with way too much, and then wonder why I can't do it all and stay sane! A few things this year though have taught me to allow for some peace and quiet, cut through the noise, and offload the unnecessary busyness. This article articulates so many of the questions I have asked myself - the real reasons I stayed busy, the implications it was having on my life, mental health and relationships, and the causal effects of being so busy when my body really needed a break.
It's been a slow process, and I still have a way to go. But so far the results have been incredible. I'm finding myself more productive than ever, incredibly focussed, and certainly more at peace and happy.
