Welcome to my little website where I yabber on about anything relating to learning and living a better life.

My name is Sharon, and I’m a self-confessed lover of life. I adore fashion, food, design, home-making, entrepreneurship, travel, and this blog is an amalgam of anything and everything I can get my hands on relating to these. Occasionally, I also talk about love – I am lucky enough to have found S, a truly remarkable man, and  I like to wax lyrical about it from time to time.

I live in Melbourne, Australia, but am originally from sunny Singapore. I studied at the University of Melbourne and have a Bachelor of Arts (Linguistics) and a Masters of Commerce (Business & Technology). My love of language, learning, business and technology have meant traversing down the following career paths:

By day, I’m a capability development consultant – with my company The Capability Project, I work with organisations to facilitate better learning programs, develop in-house training plans, as well as coaching teams and individuals to achieve their finest. Part of my work also involves digital training, where I coach groups and individuals in using technology to enhance their lives. By night, I’m a small business owner – Spin City Dance is a boutique dance school in Melbourne, and we have a small, passionate team made up of some of Australia’s finest dancers, who teach dance to absolutely anyone, at all levels from beginners to professional. Come on by if you feel like a boogie!

I am a professional dancer/choreographer/instructor and am prone to moments of passion when flying across the dance floor. I’m lucky enough to make part of my living from my passion – I travel around Australia and the world to salsa events and festivals, teaching, performing and judging competitions, when I’m not teaching at Spin City Dance.
